Machine Gun Kelly takes aim at Eminem with scathing diss record

Will Lavin

Shit just got interesting

The internet went into melt down on Friday when Eminem unleashed an all-out attack on critics, fake fans and fellow artists alike via the release of his surprise album Kamikaze.

Taking aim at the likes of Drake, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump, Lil Xan, Charlamagne Tha God, Migos, Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks, Tyler the Creator, Machine Gun Kelly, Earl Sweatshirt and Lord Jamar, none of the above have yet to respond to the “Rap God”.

Actor and social media funnyman Michael Rapaport openly criticised the aforementioned for being too scared to take on Eminem in a lyrical slanging match, claiming that “Hip Hop is dead” and then asking “Not one person is gonna defend themselves lyrically?”

However, one of the addressed artists has now thrown his hat in the ring and responded… AND. IT’S. REALLY. FUCKING. GOOD!

Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, who cites Eminem as one of his biggest influences, back in 2012 tweeted that Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, was “hot as fuck”.

Since then, MGK has alleged that he was banned from certain media outlets including Eminem’s own Shade 45 radio station, and in a freestyle with the LA Lakers rapped: “I’m my favourite rapper alive since my favourite rapper banned me from Shade 45”.

On “Not Alike”, Em clapped back with:

“Now you wanna come and fuck with me, huh?/ This little cock-sucker, he must be feeling himself/ He wants to keep up his tough demeanour, so he does a feature/ Decides to team up with Nina/ But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun/ And I’m talking to you but you already know who the fuck you are, Kelly/ I don’t use sublims and sure as fuck don’t sneak-diss/ But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.”

Now deciding to offload more than just a line or two, MGK has released “Rap Devil”, a four and a half minute diss record that proves what I’ve been saying for a very long time: he’s one of the most dangerous, and certainly most underrated, rappers in the game.

On the record’s hook he spits:

“I’m sick of them sweatsuits and that corny ass, let’s talk about it/ I’m sick of you being rich and you still mad, let’s talk about it.”

He also addresses Em’s recent musical output:

“We know you get nervous, Rabbit/ I see momma’s spaghetti all over your sweater/ I wish you would lose yourself on the record that you made a decade ago, they were better.”

And the track’s final line is brutal (and also addresses his recent beef with rapper G-Eazy):

“Dropped an album called Kamikaze, so that means it killed him/ Already fucked one rapper’s girl this week, don’t make me call Kim.”

What do you think to “Rap Devil” and do you think that Eminem will respond to Machine Gun Kelly?
