Just wait until someone introduces themselves as I. P. Freely
We all know that Friday morning feeling. You’re in work and the weekend is so close, you know you only have to survive another day and those two precious days off are yours. It’s completely natural to let your guard down.
Earlier today, DJ and presenter Maya Jama found herself reading out a message from a listener who claimed to be called ‘Hugh Janus’. It’s ok, Maya, we all know that Friday morning feeling.
“Hugh Janus, your son or daughter loves you, really cute” she read out on her BBC Radio 1 Greatest Hits show, which is a bit of a weird message even if you take out the silly name. Son or daughter? This Hugh Janus character has much intrigue about them.

Prank calls have become a staple of radio over the years but typically this involves the host pranking listeners or other famous people.
But we’ll let Jama off just this once. That said, if a caller declares “I’m a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and I like to kiss my own butt”, our advice is to steer well clear.
