He has a message for his brother
They might have split nearly a decade ago, but it’s fair to say that the British public is still very much in love with Oasis. Earlier this year ‘Live Forever’ was voted the greatest British song of all time and ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ is still the country’s go-to pub singalong song.
Sadly, though, the band hasn’t played together since 2009 thanks to a feud between Noel and Liam, with the former currently playing with his High Flying Birds and the latter having gone solo following a stint as the lead singer of Beady Eye. But as much as fans might enjoy their post-Oasis output, it hardly compares to the songs and albums they released together.
Despite rumours, the constant back and forth between the pair in the media has meant the prospect of a reunion has seemed distant. Until now at least.
Liam took to Twitter last night with a message to his brother, saying that although he isn’t “desperate” to reunite the band he thinks “it’d be a nice thing to do”.

True to form, the comments are a complete 180 on remarks the singer made during an interview with the Daily Star last month.
“I think Oasis is over, it’s sad but that’s the way it is,” he said.
“At the moment, I don’t want to be nowhere near that guy, because he’s not the guy that was in Oasis, I’m still the same guy that was in Oasis. He’s a bit pompous and a bit of a snob.
“We were a naughty band that liked having a laugh, he seems to be hanging about with, like, the Queen these days. I actually don’t think Oasis would have him, let alone him have Oasis.”
Noel is yet to respond to the tweets, but the change of heart is at least a step towards “the big O” giving the people what they want.
