It’s been a huge year for Stormzy
Whether it’s the Stormzy Scholarship, winning the Ivor Novello award, releasing his autobiography Rise Up and launching a publishing imprint with Penguin Books or now this, a headline slot at Glastonbury 2019, the #Merky rapper is absolutely killing it.
He’s also going out with Maya Jama, which must be nice. That must be pleasant.
There has been no official announcement as of yet, but a poster appeared in the window of an Oxfam shop in Streatham which announced the ‘big man with a beard’ as the first headliner, according to the Independent.
NME have also appeared to confirm the news, and reiterate that Oxfam have strong charity ties to the festival.
So far, this poster has been spotted in Glastonbury and Streatham Oxfam shops. Anyone found any others? pic.twitter.com/xW7Fv4AUaW

A member of staff at the Oxfam shop confirmed to The Independent that the poster was genuine and that they had been asked to place it inside the window by the store’s management.
Stormzy will become the first grime artist to headline the iconic festival, and deservedly so, given the success of his 2017 debut Gang Signs and Prayers and the cultural and social impact he has had, even outside music.
Stormzy headlining Glastonbury isn't about whether he's 'big' enough. It's a cultural institution investing in an artist.
