The band are going back to where it all began
The 1975 have announced that they will play an intimate show at the Camden Assembly on December 4th for the first time in six years.
Teaming up with Spotify Premium, the band wanted to do something very special to celebrate the forthcoming release of the highly-anticipated new album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.
Open to just 200 lucky fans, Spotify Premium will welcome The 1975’s biggest listeners to watch them perform live at the first London venue the band ever headlined (known as The Barfly at the time).
It was announced by the band’s frontman Matty Healy with a Twitter post of a mural that appeared opposite the Camden Assembly, where the performance will take place.

“We are really looking forward to being back at the venue where we played our first London show,” said Matty. “It will be great to share that moment with our top listeners on Spotify Premium.”
The 1975 currently have 7.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and their curated playlist can be found here.
If fans dig far enough back they might find a tweet The 1975 posted in 2012 when they sold out their first ever headline show at The Barfly.
It read: “We’ve never played a headline show before. Not one. Ever. But today we just sold out Barfly in London. A month before the show. LOVE.”
Oh, how things change.
// we've never played a headline show before. Not one. Ever.
But today we just sold out Barfly in London. A month before the show //
