What a peaceful and serene year it has been
Boris Johnson has been in number 10 for a year now, and it’s been such a weird year that the fact that he almost died isn’t even the strangest thing to happen over the past 365 days.
When the Tories sealed an enormous majority over Labour in the last election, Boris would’ve been forgiven for expecting that he might have been able to enjoy a slightly more peaceful time than his predecessors had.
But it has not worked out that way whatsoever. From Brexit, flooding, coronavirus and Dominic Cummings doing Dominic Cummings things, this has been the first 365 days of Boris’ time as PM.
Boris Johnson has been in No 10 for exactly one year, a year in which the prime minister almost dying is only one of the craziest things to have happened.
