Staffies have a bad reputation. But it’s humans who deserve one.
A terrified Staffordshire bull terrier was found asleep on a bus in the early hours of the morning at a depot in East London.
After callously being abandoned by it’s owner, staff at the station have issued an appeal for help.
“I came back at about 1am and the dog was still on the bus, but I wasn’t able to take it home with me. Bus driver Amos Paul Mak who drives the 158 told The Mirror:
“So I made it comfortable and stayed with it for 15 or 20 minutes and it just didn’t want to leave the bus. He was very clever – he looked both ways when he got off the bus.He was a bit nervous but he obviously liked the attention.Â
I just hope there’s a happy ending and the dog belongs to an elderly person or someone who is trying to be reunited with it. They tried to get the dog off the bus but it was frightened and would not come off the bus.
The dog – appropriately nicknamed Buster by the station staff – was said to be “very friendly and placid”. Bus employees estimate he is about five or six years old.
