Police have released all of their evidence on the investigation into the shooting
Police have released footage of the moment that Alec Baldwin was told Halyna Hutchins had died after being shot on the set of Rust.
The cinematographer died in October last year when she was shot by a prop gun that Baldwin was holding during rehearsals for the film in New Mexico.
Footage released by Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office shows Baldwin sat with two deputies as one told him: “I do have some very unfortunate news to tell you. She didn’t make it.”
The actor then says “No!” before putting his hand over his mouth and sitting in silence.
The deputy goes on to inform Baldwin that the film’s director Joel Souza, who had also been injured in the incident, was still in hospital.
When the deputy repeats the news that Hutchins has passed away, she adds: “I didn’t want you to hear it outside of here.”
The deputies then ask if there is anything they can do for Baldwin, who replies that he would like to call his wife, before all of them leave the room.

On Monday, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office released all of its files related to the investigation into the shooting.
This included a video showing Alec Baldwin rehearsing with the prop Colt 45. revolver.
The sheriff’s office also released footage of the moments after the shooting, including body cam footage from first responders treating Hutchins.
Sheriff Adan Mendoza has since revealed that the office is investigating “concerning” information found in text messages relating to the shooting.
The texts discuss the possible use of live ammunition on a different movie set just months before production got underway on Rust.
The sheriff told NBC: “Right now, no one has come forward and admitted to bringing the live rounds onto the movie set.
“There was information from text messages that was concerning based on the fact that live ammo was spoken about and was possibly used on a prior movie set and that was just a few months before the ‘Rust’ movie set production began, so that is concerning.”
“There was complacency on the set, there was disorganisation and a degree of negligence, whether that rises to a criminal level that’ll be up to the district attorney.”
Baldwin continues to fight a number of lawsuits stemming from the incident.
Cases are being brought by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, head of lighting Serge Svetnoy and Hutchins’ family.
