Thank God it wasn’t a shotgun wedding.
Luckily, Kentucky Sheriff Cory Golightly was only carrying a handgun to the ceremony.
Still, the idiocy of taking a lethal weapon to a wedding was proved by the .38 calibre revolver slipping out of his pocket and firing as it hit the church floor…hitting his own mother.
Thankfully his mother is okay and in a stable condition in hospital.
We hope they saved her some cake.
