Murray can now breathe easy
Andy Murray has been reunited with his wedding ring and stinky trainers after they were stolen in California on Wednesday (October 6) following his decision to leave them underneath his car.
Murray revealed that he usually ties his ring to his shoelaces when he plays – but that was his downfall as they were both nicked from beneath the car, reports Sky News.

But luckily, Murray has posted on Instagram that he is no longer in the “bad books” because of his blunder.
In a video message, Murray sent a “huge thanks” to fans for all the messages he received.
“I had to make a few calls today and chat to the security at the hotel and everything,” he continued.
He lifted the shoes up – the ring still attached to the laces – and said: “A little update for everyone, would you believe it, they still absolutely stink, but the shoes are back, the wedding ring is back, and I’m back in the good books – let’s go!”
“NO WAY!!! We need an explanation!!” replied British player Naomi Broady.
Judy Murray also congratulated her son with a series of emoji’s to represent the ring and trainers.
“Amazing!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness!!!!!!!” said American pro Sloane Stephens.

Murray had left his trainers underneath his car due to their rather powerful smell. However, upon realising his wedding ring was attached to them, the pro took to Instagram to petition for their safe return.
“My wedding ring has been stolen as well so needless to say I’m in the bad books at home, so I need to find it,” Murray wrote.
“Yes I know I’m an idiot and in hindsight, it seems like a terrible idea but I need some help. What should the reward be for getting it back?”
