Arsenal target Arturo Vidal was being questioned by Chilean police over allegations he was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his Ferrari.
The Chile international and his wife were both involved in the accident which happened on the outskirts of Santiago.
Juventus midfielder Vidal, who is wanted by Arsenal, had been driving home from the casino in the Ferrari 458 when he crashed into another vehicle and veered off the motorway, local reports claim.

Vidal and his wife were taken to hospital and the 28-year-old star was later questioned by police.
Chilean national police chief Colonel Ricardo Gonzalez said: “The driver of the red vehicle was under the influence of alcohol.”
Vidal was back in his native Chile for the Copa America where he is the tournament’s top scorer with three goals in two games – a double coming in his side’s 3-3 draw with Mexico on Monday.
But with Vidal reportedly facing a local judge this week, any summer move to the Emirates could be in jeopardy.
