He wants a People’s Vote on Britain’s EU deal
The CEO of a plumbing firm has announced that his company will be paying a delivery driver to ride around London in a taxi emblazoned with the slogan ‘Bollocks to Brexit’.
Self-confessed ‘millionaire plumber’ Charlie Mullins, of Pimlico Plumbers, unveiled the company’s new vehicle on Twitter. It comes after he paid for dozens of digital signs to be put up around the city rejecting the result of the 2016 referendum.
Although promo shots show him riding around in the cab, he told JOE that the vehicle would primarily be used by Pimlico’s delivery driver.
“We have a full-time driver who is going to be doing deliveries for us in it,” Charlie said. “I think we need to get the message out there [about the dangers of Brexit], we now have our own taxi and 20 odd signs saying ‘Bollocks To Brexit’. We’re looking for as many opportunities to promote the damage that leaving the EU is going to cause.”

The 65-year-old businessman was one of the 700,000 estimated to have marched through the capital on Saturday calling for a People’s Vote. A second referendum is currently supported by the Lib Dems, as well as a cross-bench grouping of Conservative and Labour MPs
“I was there at the back of the protest on Saturday,” Charlie told JOE. “I strongly believe that if it happens it is going to affect us for years to come, but that we can reverse it.
“I’m very much involved with the campaign, pushing anything possible and speaking about Brexit. I don’t think it will affect our business personally, but if it affects the economy then it affects us all.”
Recent research suggested that over two and a half million people have now changed their mind on whether Britain should leave the EU. It was also revealed last week that the majority of Brits believe the decision to leave was wrong in hindsight.
