Throughout his fighting career, Conor McGregor has made no secret of his love of cash.
The newly-crowned featherweight champ has made a mountain of money during his time in the UFC, and could be in for the biggest payday in the history of the company when he faces Rafael dos Anjos at UFC197 in March.
But The Notorious is doing much more than lining his pockets, his image could soon be appearing on some currency in his native Ireland after a petition from fans forced the country’s government to consider the idea of putting McGregor’s face on a €1 coin.

McGregor himself seems to be helping spearhead the campaign in Ireland to have his mug on the money.
Our brothers at JOE.ie mocked up a shot of what his face would look like on the coin – and he shared it to his million-plus Twitter followers.
Who would like 1 million of these great coins?
