People spot key detail in resurfaced clip of Dakota Johnson looking at Johnny Depp’s injured finger

Dakota Johnson has previously spoken of her admiration for Depp

As the bitter legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues, an old clip has resurfaced of Dakota Johnson and Depp at a press conference in which she expresses visible concern at his injured finger.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star is currently suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation, and has been giving evidence to the court as part of the case.

As part of this he told the court about his infamous severed finger injury, which he claims was caused by Heard throwing a bottle at him. The actress denies causing the wound.

Fans have now noticed a clip from a press conference for the film Black Mass in 2015, in which Depp shows the injury to his co-star and friend Dakota Johnson, with Johnson appearing to then show concern for him.

When Depp shows her the injury, the pair initially laugh, implying that he didn’t tell her the exact cause. He then turns to the audience, but his hand appears to be shaking.

Johnson can be seen looking on at the actor.

The clip was uploaded to YouTube last year, with the original poster claiming that the incident is “still playing on his mind.”

One person commented on the video: “Dakota Johnson is so sweet for comforting him. I can’t believe someone would be so cruel to such a great person and actor.”

Another said: “The way Dakota comforted him was the sweetest thing ever. She a real one.”

A third noted: “The way Dakota looked at him, she clearly knows something’s wrong.”

A fourth added: “I love Dakota’s little interaction with him. They both have sweet innocent demeanors.”

Johnson has previously spoken of her admiration for Depp, describing working with him as the “most gratifying and inspiring thing I’ve ever done.”

Depp is suing his ex-wife for $50m for a piece she wrote in the Washington Post regarding domestic abuse.

Depp and his lawyers argue that the article, entitled ‘I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change‘, falsely implies that Heard was physically and sexually abused by Depp while they were married from 2015 to 2017.

Heard herself has filed a countersuit against her former husband, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and labelling his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”

The trial has already heard a number of shocking allegations from both sides, with Depp claiming he once found “human poo” on his side of the bed during his marriage to Heard, and texts from Depp read out to the court in which he fantasised about his then-wife being dead in the boot of a car and having sex with her “burnt corpse.”
