Not for the first time recently, Dan Walker came off the better in a Twitter exchange with Piers Morgan.
In a tweet sent on Friday afternoon, the BBC Breakfast host had encouraged followers with an interest in working on the show to have a look at the BBC’s career page.
Ever wondered what it is like to work on @BBCBreakfast? Now is your chance… https://t.co/d8tlXCejSl

Seeing the tweet, Morgan – who presents Good Morning Britain on the other channel – saw fit to reply, explaining why he would not be interested in any roles for the Beeb.
‘Heard it’s dull and the pay’s crap,’ he explained.
Nah, I'm good thanks mate.
Heard it's a bit dull & the pay's crap. https://t.co/aze3MVhoVQ— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 9, 2018
In response, Walker assured Morgan that he and his co-workers were, in fact, paid well enough. He also pointed out that he was paid the same amount as co-presenter, Louise Minchin.
😂 👏🏻
We are well remunerated. Importantly… Louise and I are paid the same for Breakfast. Can the same be said for you and Susanna? 😬 https://t.co/HtmNvALH1F— Dan Walker (@mrdanwalker) March 9, 2018
Walker also asked if Morgan was paid the same as his co-presenter, Susanna Reid. Funnily enough, Morgan didn’t exactly answer the question in his reply…
We're both paid more than you two put together. But that's because we're entertaining. https://t.co/KY5J3IOBTC

… As Walker was quick to highlight.
Classic diversion tactic… “don’t look at that, LOOK AT THIS” 😂 https://t.co/DQpkVXTstm

As things stand, Morgan is yet to answer the question. Something tells us we might be waiting a while…
