He has been searching the coastline for Brian Laundrie
Dog the Bounty Hunter could be entering the “last day of the hunt” in his search for the missing Brian Laundrie.
Laundrie has been wanted in relation to the disappearance and death of his fiancé Gabby Petito but has not been seen since embarking on a hike in a 25,000-acre nature reserve in Florida on September 14.
Reality TV star Dog has been searching for him since September 25 along with his wife, and a spokesperson for the duo suggested that their hunt may be coming to a conclusion.
On Wednesday (September 29), Jennifer Willingham said: “He’s working on very strong leads today.
“This could very well be the last day of the hunt to apprehend Brian Laundrie.
“He’s been using a boat. But we don’t want other folk piling in with their boats in the area. He’s following specific information.”
According to the Mail Online, Dog and his wife Francie Frane were seen arriving at Fort De Soto Park in Pinellas County on Wednesday morning, where Laundrie went camping with his parents five days before Petito was reported missing.
The pair have been searching coastline and creeks by boat in the area, which is about 75 miles from Laundrie’s family home in North Port, Florida.
Laundrie had returned alone to North Port on September 1 from a cross-country road trip with his fiancé. The couple had set off in a renovated van at the start of July.
When police named him a person of interest in the investigation into her disappearance, Laundrie made no contact with police and went on the run. He was officially reported missing on September 17 but had not been seen since September 14.
On September 21, it was confirmed that human remains found in Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wyoming, belonged to Gabby Petito. A coroner said her manner of death was homicide.
