The moment seemingly one of the greatest travesties perpetrated on a trusting and unsuspecting British public by one of our most beloved institutions was uncovered.
The moment we discovered Domino’s potato wedges might not be all they’re cracked up to be.
This Watergate scandal of our time broke when one Twitter user spotted a Domino’s worker suspiciously bulk buying £1-per-kilogram wedges at an Asda store.

The magnitude of this revelation really hits home when you go on the Domino’s website and see they’re flogging a box of wedges and dip for £3.99. Some markup that.

We can only imagine the panic this all caused at Domino’s HQ, who have not faced a crisis like this since Pizza Hut unveiled the stuffed crust.
However the company has now issued a statement offering a possible explanation for why one of their employees was seen bulk-buying potato wedges in Asda.
A spokeswoman for Domino’s Pizza said:
“With a big sporting weekend, very occasionally our stores are in an unfortunate position where some products may run out.
“We do not advocate this as a solution and are investigating. We have rigorous food standards where our franchisees buy all food from our approved suppliers to help maintain the high standards customers rightly expect.”
