Donald Trump has hinted at a potential second term as he officially leaves The White House.

Trump delivered a speech as he left the Oval Office on Wednesday morning to a crowd of fans who could be heard chanting “We love you” and “Thank you, Trump.”

He said: “This has been an incredible four years, we’ve accomplished so much together.”

Speaking of his children and his wife, he said: “People have no idea how hard this family worked. They worked for you. They could have had a much easier life, but they did a fantastic job.”

He continued: “It has been my greatest honour and privilege to have been your President. The future of this country has never been better, I wish the new administration great luck and great success. We put it in a position that it’s never been in before.”

He also hinted at a potential return to The White House at some point, saying: “We will be back in some form.”

He finished by saying: “Have a good life! We will see you soon!”

As his speech finished, ‘YMCA’ played, much to the anger of The Village People, we can safely assume.

Trump running again in 2024 is something that has been discussed already, with his special envoy for Northern Ireland Mick Mulvaney previously saying he does expect him to stay in politics.

He said: “I would absolutely expect the president to stay involved in politics and would absolutely put him on the shortlist of people who are likely to run in 2024.”
