The former President of the United States took aim at the FBI director on his own social media platform.
Donald Trump has responded to the accusations from FBI Director Christopher Wray that the bullet which was fired in his direction during an assassination attempt earlier this month didn’t actually hit the former President.
While appearing before the House Judiciary Committee last Thursday, Wray testified about the agency’s ongoing investigation into the deadly shooting at a Trump rally almost two weeks ago.
FBI Director Christopher Wray: “With respect to former president Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.”#TrumpAssasinationAttempt #USElection

Wray said it was still unclear what had caused the injury Trump suffered to his ear, bringing into question whether it was a bullet or a piece of shrapnel from a teleprompter.
Trump was not at all pleased by the comments from the man he nominated to head the FBI back in 2017, and made his feelings known via a post on his Truth social media platform.
The Republican candidate for this year’s presidential election wrote: “FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress yesterday that he wasn’t sure if I was hit by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI never even checked!), but he was sure that Crooked Joe Biden was physically and cognitively “uneventful” – Wrong!
“That’s why he knows nothing about the terrorists and other criminals pouring into our Country at record levels.
“His only focus is destroying J6 Patriots, Raiding Mar-a-Lago, and saving Radical Left Lunatics, like the ones now in D.C. burning American flags and spray painting over our great National Monuments – with zero retribution,” the 78-year-old added.
“No, it was, unfortunately, a bullet that hit my ear, and hit it hard. There was no glass, there was no shrapnel. The hospital called it a “bullet wound to the ear,” and that is what it was. No wonder the once storied FBI has lost the confidence of America!”
A few hours later, Trump posted a photograph which appeared to show the bullet as it emerged out of the other side of his left ear, along with the caption: “Not that anyone doubted it, but in order to rid our Country of the political statement put out by the Director of the FBI, in between fighting for the Safety and Security of those burning our American Flags, and right now spraying our beautiful Limestone Monuments in Washington, D.C., this is a picture of the bullet right after piercing my ear.”
He added: “Perhaps FBI Director Christopher Wray will notice there is no shrapnel or glass flying through the ear, only a bloodstained bullet. It’s all so damaging to the Great People that work in the FBI.
“As The New York Times reported, other bullets came very close. Nobody ever called, even out of curiosity, from the Federal Bureau of Insurrection. P.S. After the Great Supreme Court Decision, when are the hunted down J6 Hostages going to be released, and when are yesterday’s Vandals and Flag Burners going to be put in prison?”

Yesterday, a spokesperson for the FBI released a statement confirming that it was a bullet that struck the former President’s ear.
The statement read: “What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle.”
Trump took to Truth once again to gloat in response to Director Wray’s comments.
He shared a tweet from a journalist which quoted the FBI’s statement, and wrote: “I assume that’s the best apology that we’ll get from Director Wray, but it is fully accepted!”
On July 13, a bullet clipped the ear of the 78-year-old during a Republican rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania.
An audience member was killed in the assassination attempt, and Secret Service agents shot dead the shooter, who who had positioned himself on a roof approximately 200 yards away from where the event was taking place.
He has since been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks who, according to the New York Post, was a registered member of the Republican party.
