The robbery occurred on Saturday evening, with the Swedish player reportedly held at knife point in front of his wife and two children
Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen and his family were threatened with a machete during a robbery at his home.
According to Mail Online, the masked offenders crashed into Olsen’s house before he was “marched around his home” by them. The raiders eventually left with valuable jewellery and a luxury watch.
The goalkeeper, who is at Everton on loan from Roma and has made nine appearances for the club this season, lives in Altrincham, which is an area popular with footballers playing for teams in the North West.
Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured in the attack, and Greater Manchester Police are investigating the incident.
Everton have said that they are supporting the player and are “offering Robin and his family as much support as is possible”.
It is the second time in just a matter of weeks that a senior figure at the Toffees has been the victim of burglary. In February, boss Carlo Ancelotti’s home was targeted by burglars, who broke into the property while his daughter was home alone.
The men managed to steal a safe from the Italian manager’s Blundellsands home before the police were called. The safe was later found dumped in a car park and had been forced open.
