Problems with Facebook? Yeah, you’re not alone.
For reasons that aren’t yet clear, some users are receiving unusual alerts, telling them that their messages have been deleted for being spam, while others are being redirected to the login screen and told that their accounts can’t be verified.
According to The Independent, other users are receiving messages informing them that their account has been hacked. As a result, they’ve been signed out and had their password changed.
According to website Down Detector, the problems are occurring around the world, with Europe and America’s east coast appearing to be the worst hit. As pointed out by the same website, this may be a problem posed by time zones.
While plenty of users try and contact Facebook (on Twitter, ironically) it seems that the main headline is that the problem is one with Facebook itself and not that individual accounts have been hacked.
