London Metropolitan Police briefly cordoned off BBC headquarters on Tuesday afternoon amid fears over a possible terror threat.
The area surrounding New Broadcasting House in Portland Street was cordoned off around 2.30pm after police were called to the scene.
Nearby offices were evacuated due to a “suspicious vehicle” reported on Regent Street.
Scotland Yard have confirmed the alert is now over after the vehicle was investigated and cleared.
Police now reopened streets at BBC Broadcasting House. Seems like a false alarm.
