David Beckham’s stadium plans for his Major League Soccer franchise haven’t been going that great.
His dreams of bringing MLS soccer to Miami have been thwarted at every turn – with plans to build a 25,000 seater ground and shopping arcade at Port Miami were killed off by dockers.
Then environmentalists blocked his plans to build the stadium in Biscayne Bay over wildlife fears.
The former Manchester United and England international was even offer and between two remote prisons…but funnily enough he turned that down.
But Becks isn’t one to be denied and he may just have sorted his US team a new home (for now).
Florida International University have offered up their 20,000-seater stadium while Goldenballs finds a permanent home for the team.
Our very own USA Soccer Guy will be most pleased.
