The first batch of documents have been released

A number of prominent figures have been named in the latest release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

This new release of documents comes as the latest in the ongoing Epstein saga that saw the disgraced financier die in 2019 while in custody for abuse of underage girls.

There has long been rumour of a larger scheme at work with many high-profile names visiting Epstein’s private island where it’s said he abused many of his victims.

The wider public has been keen to know more about the matter, with many files collected by the FBI yet to be released.

US attorney General Pam Bondi released the first phase of the latest Epstein files on Thursday 27 February that was promised by US president Donald Trump.

After releasing the files, Bondi said: “This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators.

“The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability.”

A series of flight logs from the sex offender’s private jet was part of this, as well as a partly-redacted ‘contacts list’.

To many people’s disappointment, there were no bombshell announcements, however, many names already mentioned were once again brought up.

About 200 pages across 10 different files released, although with nothing not already known unveiled.

A series of flight logs from the sex offender’s private jet was part of this, as well as a partly-redacted ‘contacts list’.
