One tweet to make a mockery of this claim, that’s all it took.
Donald Trump is currently under pressure and experiencing intense media scrutiny after a New York Times report claimed the president asked former FBI director James Comey to drop an investigation into Michael Flynn, his former national security adviser.

The Trump administration denied the report, and the president faced further scrutiny when the Washington Post reported that he divulged highly classified material to Russian diplomats in a meeting.
So, it’s been an eventful few weeks for Trump, even by his own standards.
He used an address to graduates of the Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut on Wednesday to hit back at his critics
“Look at the way I’ve been treated lately, especially by the media,” Trump said.
“No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly.”

Of course, such a claim is absolute nonsense. Countless politicians have been treated worse than Trump.
Regardless of which political party has earned your allegiance, where you fall on the political spectrum or whether you’re a fan of the 45th President of the United States or not, that was a ridiculous thing to say.
Historian Dan Snow perfectly summed up how nonsensical Trump’s claim was with a series of tweets. He compared Trump’s plight with that of politicians and leaders throughout history, and needless to say, Donald has had it easy by comparison.
