She is being kept in isolation for her own protection
The stepmother of Star Hobson is apparently a “number one target” for other inmates at the prison where she is being held.
Savannah Brockhill, 28, is being held in the isolated wing at HMP Styal in Cheshire for her own safety, after she was sentenced to 25 years behind bars on Thursday for the murder of 16-month-old Hobson.
Hobson’s death followed months of abuse at the hands of Brockhill, who repeatedly punched and kicked the toddler.
A source has now revealed that Brockhill has been designated as the “number one target” by some of the 486 prisoners at HMP Styal, claiming that they will “try and shank her.”
They told Mail Online: “Brockhill has been put in separation in Styal for her own protection.
“She’ll be the number one target there. Prisoners will be queuing up to try and shank her.”
A shank is a slang term for a makeshift knife.

Brockhill’s partner and Hobson’s mother Frankie Smith was sentenced to eight years in prison for allowing the killing to happen, in a case with disturbing similarities to that of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes.
A seven-week trial at Bradford Crown Court heard that Star had endured months of “neglect, cruelty and injury”.
On September 22 2020, she bled to death after suffering ‘catastrophic” injuries inflicted by Brockhill, her mother’s “violent-tempered” girlfriend.
The Attorney General has been asked to review both women’s sentences under the unduly lenient sentence scheme.
A spokesperson for the Attorney General’s Office confirmed on Thursday that it had received a request to review the sentences, adding: “The Law Officers have 28 days from sentencing to consider the case and make a decision.”
