During the Apple conference on Monday evening, Apple officially announced iOS 10, which will be available sometime this autumn. According to the Daily Mirror, a beta test of the system will be available sometime in July.
iOS 10 will run on all new iPhones and iPads and be available as on upgrade on older models.
Other new features including on the system include a revamped version of Siri that will work in collaboration better with other apps on your phone, rather than immediately search the web for data. Siri will also be rolled out to third party developers, so they too might tinker with voice recognition and commands for their apps.
Add to this a new hub for your smart home devices, and a revamped user interface design and iOS 10 could be the dawn of a new era in Apple product customisation. And all it took was nine years to let us get rid of ‘Stocks’.
