The Labour leader has been criticised for choosing ‘the smallest poppy he could find’
Jeremy Corbyn’s wardrobe, not usually much of a topic of conversation, outside of the Corbyn family trip to Ikea. But it is Remembrance Day and so with the metronomic regularity of the calendar, much like James McClean and the endless discussion about his decision not to wear a poppy, we are talking about Corbyn’s choice of outfit.
Some even accused Labour’s leader of wearing a hoodie to the Armistice Day service. He, of course, wasn’t.
The ceremony was commemorating 100 years since the end of the first World War.
Corbyn was in attendance, alongside the other party leaders, delegates and past prime ministers. He laid a wreath on the cenotaph with Theresa May. For the first time a German dignitary also laid a wreath. President Frank-Walter Steinmeier represented his country during the service.
A few people even said Corbyn wasn’t wearing a poppy. He actually was, a small pin on both his suit jacket and coat.
And yet, the world still managed to make itself angry.
Corbyn with his barely visible poppy and cheap anorak.

I hope all decent Labour people out there are clocking #Corbyn showing total disrespect at the cenotaph just now
Scruffy anorak, tiny, tiny poppy almost as if he is embarrassed
All Labour members should be totally embarrassed, what a disgrace #CorbynOut #RemembranceSunday2018

My mum ‘why could Corbyn not get a smart coat like everyone else’. Because he is a melt mum. A melt.

What is @jeremycorbyn wearing at the Cenotaph? It looks like an anorak. Is it a Michael Foot moment
