The clip has gone viral on TikTok
Johnny Depp fans have gone crazy for a clip which shows the actor doodling and giggling during his defamation trial against Amber Heard.
On Tuesday (April 26), the Pirates of the Caribbean star was sat next to his attorney Benjamin Chew in court, and seemed to be focusing intently on something in front of him.
Was it some important notes? Something crucial in the trial? No, it turns out he was in fact doodling a portrait, which he then proudly passes over to Chew.
The two then seem to admire the doodle, which looks like it is of a woman, and have a little chuckle to themselves.
The clip has gone viral on TikTok, racking up more than 855,000 likes and 6.7m views.
The TikTok poster can be heard in the background laughing and saying: “He’s proud of it. That’s awesome.”

One fan commented: “Who needs a court sketch artist when you have Johnny.”
Another said: “That dudes talented all over.”
A third Depp cheerleader wrote: “You know when the lawyer tapped the picture he was saying ‘I’m gonna keep that.’ Love Johnny.”
Depp is currently suing his former wife Heard for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 in which she discussed the subject of domestic abuse.
Depp and his lawyers argue that the Washington Post piece falsely implies that Heard was physically and sexually abused by Depp while they were married from 2015 to 2017. He is seeking $50m in damages.
Heard is in turn suing her former husband, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and labelling his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”
She has asked for immunity from Depp’s complaint, and $100m in damages.
