Leicestershire Police are investigating a series of offensive tweets which were directed at Jamie Vardy’s daughter over the weekend.
The tweets in question appeared after Vardy’s fiancee Rebekah Nicholson shared a photo of their 5-year-old daughter following Sunday’s 1-0 win over Southampton.
Vardy then shared screengrabs of some of the most abusive responses, labelling them ‘shocking and vile’.
On Monday, Leicestershire Police confirmed they were working with Vardy’s club after the tweets were brought to their attention.
Leicestershire Police says its liaising with Leicester City after being made aware of offensive tweets about Jamie Vardy's family.
