There aren’t two many phrases less likely to go together than ‘John Humphrys’ and ‘Rapping’.
The 72-year-old broadcaster is known for his work on Radio 4 and on TV show Mastermind, and he’s probably the last person you expected to rap live on air.
But he’s made a career out of showing he can do what no one expected of him, and that continued in the most unlikely way yet.
Almost crashed the car hearing John Humphrys (badly) trying to rap on #r4today this morning! @BBCRadio4 😂😂😂 https://t.co/GgLZ06jALU

There’s bizarre, and then there’s this. As you can expect, people were dumbfounded.

John Humphrys did a rap on #r4today this morning. I was dozing at the time, but refused to go back to sleep in case of unquiet dreams.
