Another man is arrested on suspicion of killing Sabina Nessa

Police say there has been a “significant development” in the case

Another man has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of London schoolteacher Sabina Nessa. Police have said that there has been a “significant development” in the case.

The 38-year-old individual was arrested by police around 3am in East Sussex. Two other men had previously been arrested but both have been released pending further investigation.

Sabina Nessa was attacked on Friday, 17th September as she walked to meet her friend at The Depot Bar just five minutes from her home. Her body was found under a pile of leaves in local Cator Park the next day.

A candlelight vigil was held in her memory at the park in Kidbrooke this past Friday; more than 500 people attended as, similar to the Sarah Everard case earlier this year, people look to raise concern and awareness around the saety of women in the UK.

While the cause of her death is still inconclusive, CCTV footage shows the man police were looking for. However, as reported by the BBC, police are yet to confirm if this latest arrest is indeed the suspect and they are thought to no longer be seeking him out.
