The man’s Covid mask will still dangling from his ear as he emerged from the wreckage
A man miraculously stood up and asked onlookers, “What happened?” after plummeting nine storeys onto the roof of a parked BMW.
The 31-year-old man, whose identity is not yet known, crash-landed on the vehicle at Journal Square, New Jersey, around 10.20am on Wednesday.
He then stood up with his arm dangling at the side, witness Christina Smith told the New York Post, and asked, “What happened?”
“I heard a big boom and I didn’t think it was a person at first,” said told the Post, adding that, “The back window of the car just busted out — exploded. Then the guy jumped up and started screaming. His arm was all twisted.”
Smith called 911 and then took a video that shows the damage to the car and graphic footage of the man writhing in pain on the pavement. He appeared to have injuries to his upper body and his face mask strap was still dangling from his ear.
Bri wrote on the post: “I cannot believe I seen this man fall from the building and land on a car in jersey city. It’s still replaying in my head!”
The man was taken to hospital, the Post reports, and is now in a critical condition.
He did not work inside the building, the newspaper said, noting that it was unclear why he was there.
The man refused to give his name to police and was not being cooperative, the paper said.
