‘Is this man okay?’
A man who went viral for a truly impressive water slide jump has returned to social media to show off the equally-impressive damage it caused to his body.
If you’ve been mindlessly scrolling TikTok over the past few days then chances are you’ve stumbled across this social media daredevil. In a clip that has since wracked up countless views on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter, a user that goes under the name @la_mascotte94 shared a video of himself going all out to impress attendees at a water park.
Wearing nothing but a pair of swimming shorts, the brave slide fan can be seen standing on top of a small wooden roof which itself is located above four already-steep-looking water slides.
With an eager crowd all too ready to cheer him on, the man can then be seen leaping off of the roof and into one of the slides below, only to be swept high up into the air before flailing slightly and plonking down into the pool.
Check it out but beware: it’s not great for those with vertigo.

Naturally, people in the comments were just as impressed at this feat of misplaced bravery as those who saw it live and in-person.
“Is this man okay?” asked on concerned user.
“apparently he recently divorced so he’s been celebrating,” suggested another.
“How tf you get up there???” questioned a third – and to be honest, they kind of had a point.
The majority of people’s comments asked a similar question: essentially, is this guy alright after putting himself through such a triumphant bellyflop all in the name of likes, views and shares.
Not long afterwards, the same user took to Instagram to show off the painful aftereffects of his water sports skills – and it doesn’t look pretty.
The silent clip shows the man’s legs and torso and each are covered in angry looking purple bruises. Ouch.

“dude what’s wrong with you” asked one follower, pondering whether it was all worth it.
Meanwhile, another was quick to suggest it was actually all worthwhile – despite this stunt being very unsuitable for most and definitely not something that anyone should try at home.
“Worth it for the everlasting internet fame”, they joked.
Regardless of the guy’s intentions, his stunts have certainly caught the attention of the TikTok algorithm, with his later water slide antic videos gathering more than 29 million views and counting.
