Police are appealing for information about the incident.
Police have released an e-fit of a man who tried to strangle a woman with a metal chain in a London park.
The incident took place at around 11.30am on Friday, September 10 in Hornchurch Country Park, East London.
According to the Met, the woman in her 20s was sat on a bench when the man came up behind her and placed a chain around her neck, attempting to strangle her. The woman was able to free herself and ran away.
