Don’t pack away those winter coats just yet
Just as the UK enjoys the sun, forecasters have warned that we could see temperatures plummet as snow is expected to fall later this week.
Starting on March 28, cold winds are expected to arrive in the UK. Come Wednesday, snow is forecasted for Scotland and Northern England and not a day later, we could see cold flurries reach southern parts of England.

The Met Office predicts around four inches of snow could fall.
“A shock to the system lies ahead, with a taste of winter returning as British Summer Time starts,” said Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna. “It’s a notable change from warm to colder weather, with Tuesday’s cold front bringing the risk of hill snow before wintry showers follow.”

While Brits saw highs of 20C over the weekend, leading to obligatory trips to beer gardens, temperatures are expected to hit -4C in the north and sub-zero through the rest of the UK.
Temperatures are predicted to gradually fall over the coming days, from highs of 14C today to 6 or 7C at around Thursday.
“But showers or longer spells of rain will follow across many parts from Tuesday, then turning colder with wintry showers in northern areas,” another forecaster warned. “From Thursday has possible frequent wintry showers across the North, with further South having some showers and perhaps hill snow with a small chance of this reaching low levels.”
People have been reacting to the weather news online, where they are presumably livid at the sudden drop in climate.
“Can we not… I’ve just planted a load of seeds,” wrote one Twitter user.
Another wrote: “I packed up my winter clothes to shove under bed (a scarf and hat) as the words “false spring” reverberated in my ears. But did I listen? NO.”
