Another trickster run out of No10
No.10 Downing Street has seen its fair share of shysters and tricksters, but footage has emerged showing just how unwelcome they’ve become.
Larry the cat, who serves as chief mouser to the Cabinet Office, has been caught on camera squaring off against a much bigger opponent – a fox – outside the prime minister’s residence.
The security-conscious cat is then seen stalking the fox who arches its back and lowers its head, as it slinks towards the safety of a nearby flowerbed.

But Larry doesn’t let it end there, and rushes at the fox.
The fox then makes a break for the road, with Larry in hot pursuit.
Larry has been in residence at Downing Street since 15 February 2011 and was the first cat at No 10 to be bestowed with the official title chief mouser.
But despite having such a prestigious title, Larry isn’t a designer moggie, rather he was recruited from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and came recommended highly for his mousing skills. Much like the fox, Larry has also seen off a few other troublemakers – chiefly, former PM’s, David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson.
According to the Downing Street website Larry, “spends his days greeting guests to the house, inspecting security defences and testing antique furniture for napping quality”.
“His day-to-day responsibilities also include contemplating a solution to the mouse occupancy of the house,” the website reads.
Larry was frequently seen sparring with Palmerston, his Foreign Office counterpart, around the time of the Brexit referendum in 2016.
Last week it was revealed that Larry was showing up his new owner somewhat on social media.
The cat, thought to be around 15 years old, has more Twitter followers than Liz Truss.
The unofficial Twitter account for the feline, @Number10cat, has an impressive 694,500 followers, which is around 12,000 more than his boss.
