Paul Pogba posts tribute to Juventus player Bryan Dodien after his death

Pogba took to Twitter to pay tribute to the teenager

Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has paid tribute to a Juventus youth player who sadly passed away on Saturday.

Bryan Dodien was diagnosed with cancer at just age twelve, but after treatment was able to return to the football pitch in 2019. However, on Saturday, it was announced that Dodien had passed away at age 17.

Posting to Twitter, Pogba wrote: “The saddest of news. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your close ones. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I’ll never forget you.

“RIP Bryan, you will be missed.”

Then, in Italian, he wrote: “You fought a lot, you were strong, an example for everyone. Goodbye my little friend.”

Before joining United, Pogba had dedicated a goal to Dodien while playing for Juventus during the Turin Derby in 2015. Lifting up his shirt, Pogba was wearing a shirt that read: “Brayn I am with you.”

Then in 2019, the United star also congratulated Dodien when it appeared as if he was on the mend.

Pogba fans have also offered their condolences beneath the post.

“Condolences for the loss of Your Young Friend, RIP I join in the grief of the family,” wrote Pietro in Italian.

“Sorry King, may the young man Rest in power, condolences to his family and friends,” wrote another.

“Beautiful words Paul … I remember well this special meeting of yours and your t-shirt for Bryan … terrible and very sad news … now he will be a wonderful angel … we must always have him near us.”

“My most sincere condolences and prayers to the fam of this young boy. RIP.”
