Still thinking about 50 Cent’s entrance
As the confetti settles in Los Angeles and the curtain comes down on another NFL season, Super Bowl LVI didn’t disappoint – and neither did the halftime show. In fact, some online are already saying it’s the best one ever.
Even before the performance started, some were calling it the greatest line-up ever and predicting that it could be one of the great performances.
This year, the bill was titanic – featuring artists like Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
When the line-up was announced, Dre said: “The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career.
“I’m grateful to JAY-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”
It also marked somewhat of a homecoming for the super producer, Snoop and Kendrick, who are all from South California, where the match was being held this year.
The set list included performances of “Lose Yourself”, “Next Episode”, “California Love” and “Alright”, amongst others.

There was even some guest appearances as well. 50 Cent decided to drop by for a rendition on “In Da Club”, recreating the iconic music video (we thoroughly recommend you check out the memes).

It was anthem after anthem – and unsurprisingly many came to the same conclusion: this was the halftime show GOAT.

Of course, when it comes to the discussion around the greatest halftime show of all time, we have to mention one man: Prince.
For some, although Dre and co. delivered an undoubtedly fantastic interval performance, Prince still reigns supreme.
No disrespect. Prince will always be the best #HalfTimeShow ever. #PepsiHalftime #SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/VfND6vN9kW

The sport either side of the show wasn’t bad either.
If you’re waiting to watch highlights or the full thing later, then stop reading now.
The LA Rams claimed a dramatic 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in a tense encounter.
Having been 13-3 up, the Rams found themselves trailing 20-13 early in the second half. However with less than 90 seconds on the clock, quarterback Matthew Stafford found Cooper Kupp in the end zone to put his star-studded side ahead.
And then, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, a man widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive players the sport has ever seen, sacked Joe Burrow to seal the win for the Rams.
The play that sealed the Super Bowl!

A thrilling match and an elite halftime show that is certainly up there as one of the greatest of all time. It was worth staying up for.
