This could be expert trolling.
During the the Queen’s Speech on Brexit, a host of proposed new laws designed to prepare the UK for a “smooth and orderly” departure from the EU were announced.
Of the 27 bills and draft bills, eight relate to Brexit including a Repeal Bill to overturn the 1972 Act which took Britain into the European Economic Community. Separate bills on customs, trade, immigration, fisheries, agriculture, nuclear safeguards and more were proposed.
The Queen also stated that Theresa May will work on maintaining the “deep and special relationship with our European allies” and “enhance and maintain” Britain’s role on the world stage.
Plans for a public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower tragedy were also confirmed along with plans to review Britain’s counter-terrorism strategy with an Armed Forces Bill, Data Protection Bill and Draft Patient Safety Bill being proposed.
Notably, there was no mention of President Trump’s visit to the UK.
