Nobody knows their locality and the people that populate it better than postmen and postwomen, particularly in rural Ireland.
Sometimes, not even a name or an exact address is required, as postman Dan Cronin, who lives in Co Cork, illustrated at Christmas time, posting evidence on his Facebook page this week.

Dan managed to correctly deliver a letter sent from abroad – despite the fact that the recipient was identified only as “the guy with the goats + dogs” from “some place west of Macroom”.
With postmen like this, who needs postcodes?
