Smartphones are one of the most important technological advances of recent times, but one thing manufacturers haven’t gotten quite right yet is the battery life.
Who among us has been caught out without a charger, watching helplessly as their phone dies before their very eyes? Well, that could be a thing of the past for fans of Samsung Galaxy phones.
According to TechInsider the newest model, the Galaxy S7 will have a whopping 48-hour battery life. That’s two whole days of juice, something which has been unheard of since back in Nokia’s heyday.
A Russian tech blogger with a decent record regarding tech rumours has made the claim, and shared a screenshot purporting to show the longevity of the latest Galaxy incarnation.

It’s said to have a larger battery than your average smartphone, and will be running on Android 6.0, which has a very cool feature called Doze that puts Android phones into a deep sleep that dramatically reduces the amount of power it uses while you aren’t using the device.
If Samsung are able to pull this one off, you just now that Apple and the rest will have to follow suit.
