We love the internet…
Sean Spicer’s first press briefing as Donald Trump’s new Press Secretary did not go exactly to plan as he tried to address what he thought was false reporting on the size of the crowd which attended Donald Trump’s inauguration last Friday.
He disputed the photos doing the rounds which suggested that the size of the crowd was much smaller than Obama’s and said: “This was the largest audience to witness an inauguration. Period. Both in person and around the globe.”

Spicer’s claims were easily disputed though from a mixture of reports from US Secret Servicemen as well as the obvious aerial shots taken on the day which compared them to Obama’s inauguration in 2009.
Woah: 2017 versus 2009. Trump train apparently decided to stay home today. pic.twitter.com/Yi8t0WoGrQ

Following the briefing, Sean Spicer found himself as the internet’s new favourite meme as people mocked his statement. The memes are just glorious…
