According to The Sun, the images show him breaking multiple Covid rules on May 6th, while bans on indoor mixing weren’t relaxed until May 17th.
This means the health secretary was allegedly failing to adhere to his own restrictions.
This comes after Hancock himself had said Neil Ferguson was right to resign after it was revealed he had broken lockdown rules to meet his lover.
Whitleblowers told The Sun:
It was shocking that Mr Hancock was having an affair in the middle of a pandemic with an adviser and friend he used public money to hire.
Mr Hancock has refused to comment on the allegations.
Grant Shapps, transport secretary, told Sky News:
I think it’s a bit of a red herring.
And in this case, I think it’s really a personal story.
The Health Secretary has been working very hard rolling out this vaccine programme.
