He made the remark ahead of an exclusive interview Markle did with US radio.
Piers Morgan has launched another attack on the Duchess of Sussex, labelling her “Princess Pinocchio” in response to a commenter.
His latest insult came ahead of Meghan Markle’s interview with US radio on Sunday, when she spoke about her new children’s book, The Bench.
In a post on Twitter, Morgan once again insisted that ITV did not sack him and that he left Good Morning Britain on his own terms.
He said: “ITV didn’t get rid of me. I left GMB because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio.
“I still work for ITV, as you’ll see tomorrow when my Life Stories show with Dame Joan Collins airs at 9pm.”

Earlier this year, Morgan made controversial comments about Markle on Good Morning Britain following her interview with Oprah in which she admitted to having suicidal thoughts whilst living in the UK.
Morgan rubbished her claims, saying that he “didn’t believe a word” of what the Duchess had said.
He later walked off the show after being challenged on his views by weatherman Alex Beresford, before announcing that he was leaving the early morning news show.
After making the comments, Ofcom received a record number of complaints from viewers.
Markle’s interview with radio station NPR Weekend was the first she had given since she gave birth to her daughter Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on 4 June.
Royal commentator Omid Scobie tweeted about the interview on Friday and said: “Fresh off the heels of her first children’s book becoming a certified #1 New York Times bestseller, Duchess Meghan will be giving her only interview about #TheBench to Samantha Balaban at the renowned NPR Weekend show, this Sunday between 8am-10am Eastern.”
