Another day, another Piers story, Apparently, he’s receiving ‘gratitude’ from the Royal Family now too
Speaking to Extra‘s Billy Bush, Piers Morgan has given yet another interview discussing his feud with Meghan Markle and his subsequent exit from Good Morning Britain. While it may seem we Brits have had our fill of this story for the time being, Morgan is trading off it in America, it would seem.
As well as maintaining that he does not believe Miss Markle’s claims surrounding racist remarks and her mental health, stating that he would love for the Duchess of Sussex to have a similar sit down with him as she did with Oprah Winfrey, he also says he has received lots support “privately and publicly from well-known people” – including the Royal Family.
After citing support from the likes of Sharon Osbourne, Morgan was probed by Bush as to whether he had heard anything from the Royals themselves, to which he responded: “I’ve had some messages communicated to me on behalf on several members of the Royal Family”.
When pushed for specifics, he said, “I’m not going to go into who it was, but gratitude that somebody was standing up for them”. While Bush didn’t get every last morsel of the ‘juicy’ entertainment story he was after, he certainly got enough.
It is worth noting if you haven’t heard of him, that Bush relative of two former US presidents – nephew of George Bush Sr. and cousin of Bush Jr. – not to mention friends with a third more recent (take a guess).
That’s right, he is the other man that features in the infamous “Grab them by the p***y” video. Still keeping fine company, it would seem. Not unlike Morgan at the Daily Mirror, Bush was sacked from his job on NBC’s Today show following said footage being leaked back in 2018.
He opened his interview by describing Piers as “so fascinating, so riveting and yet you are cancelled”, to which Morgan replied: “There’s been an attempt to cancel me. There’ve been many attempts like this before, and somehow I remain resolutely uncanceled”. This is like buzz word bingo.
