Prince William says Royals are ‘not a racist family’ in new statement

Wayne Farry

“I haven’t spoken to him yet”

Prince William has responded to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent interview with Oprah publicly for the first time.

The Duke of Cambridge, who reportedly had a falling out with his brother in recent years, said today that he has not yet spoken to Harry about the contents of the interview.

“We are very much not a racist family,” he told Sky News today.

William added that although he has yet to speak to Harry following the release of the interview, he intends to. “I haven’t spoken to him yet but I plan to,” he said.

This comes after Meghan, who is currently pregnant with her second child, said that “conversations” were had between Harry and other members of the royal family about the colour of Archie’s skin before he was born.

The interview between Markle, Oprah and Prince Harry has sent shockwaves through the Royal family and British society, with the country seemingly divided over who to side with: the couple or the Royal family.

It has also seen major changes in the British television landscape, with Piers Morgan stepping down from his role as co-host of Good Morning Britain after Ofcom received 41,000 complaints over his conduct on a televised broadcast.

One of those complaints was confirmed to have come from Meghan Markle.
