The couple both qualify as high risk

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have both been vaccinated against Covid-19, it has been announced.

At the respective ages of 94 and 99, they are both in the high risk category.

Usually, the Monarch’s private medical matters are not announced to the public, but ITV’s Royal editor Chris Ship has reported that this has been made public to prevent further speculation around the safety of vaccines.

It will not be made public which of the three approved vaccines the couple were given.
