The Mayor of London joked it would be easier for Boris Johnson to delete his WhatsApp account
Sadiq Khan says he doesn’t have WhatsApp and neither should the prime minister or health secretary.
Two of the most senior figures in government, Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock, have acted as points of contact to interests outside of politics, like billionaire James Dyson.
When asked about his own WhatsApp use, the Mayor of London told JOE it was a simple question to answer because he doesn’t use the Facebook-owned messaging app, joking that basic logic would encourage Hancock and Johnson to do the same.
“What’s the name of the WhastApp group you last received a message in? True story I am not on WhatsApp – and there’s a very good reason for that.
“Just look what’s happened to Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock.”
Khan was speaking to JOE during an episode of In My DMs, in which he discussed smoking cannabis and how he would beat Boris Johnson in a celebrity boxing match.
