Hoile is currently in custody and is expected to appear before Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware of the charges.
Hoile works as a special constable, a volunteer officer who works 16 hours a month in the Met Police’s North West Command Unit.

Just yesterday, Sir Mark Rowley was named commissioner of the Metropolitan police after beating out the current assistant commissioner, Nick Ephgrave. Rowley, a former head of counter-terrorism, left the Met in 2018 for a job in the private sector.
After a series of scandals and a falling out with London mayor Sadiq Khan, Dame Cressida Dick was removed as commissioner in February.
“Our mission is to lead the renewal of policing by consent, which has been so heavily dented in recent years as trust and confidence have fallen,” Rowley said, according to the Guardian. “These reforms include our use of technology and data, our culture and our policing approach. We will fight crime with communities – not unilaterally dispense tactics.”
Rowley certainly has a lot of work ahead of him, no doubt motivated by his cushy £293,000 salary.
